On random occasions you are greeted by the odd brush turkey, wallaby etc.Having the long driveway really did keep the travelling salespeople away as they didnt want to walk up the driveway. However as we drove right up to the front door, it was never an issue for us.The biggest thing we love about the house is the PRIVACY No neighbours can look into our property as we have the highest set home in Govett Place. Opening the front bifolds with outlook from the front deck over to St Ives area with the pool to the right is a popular spot for entertaining. The covered back deck which became another room when you opened up the back bifolds is also a great area for BBQs. We had many gatherings where the kids were on the front deck near the pool and the adults out the back - Great entertaining house.We found the house easy to live in. Once you were upstairs there were the 2 living areas, kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms so no need to go up and downstairs all the time. Everything is on the one level.The downstairs area is a great teenage retreat with a huge bedroom and the 3rd living area of a large rumpus room. The laundry has a toilet situated in there as well. There is also storage under the stairs just inside the front doorAll bedrooms have built-ins. There is also an air conditioner in the dining area.. We found that if you opened the front and back bifolds you got a great breeze and we only used the air conditioner a handful of times over the years. The home has also ducted gas heating for the colder months.The 2-3 car garage is huge with the workbench and heaps of extra space each side. The pool has solar heating, a self-chlorinator and automatic cleaner so very easy to look after and again super private. There is also a large storage area, out from the laundry and a garden shed in the pool area close to the back garden.The area is serene and quiet. The house itself is low maintenance and situated right near the local bus with direct routes to the City and Chatswood. (at the bottom of the driveway and to the left is some stairs to the next street where the bus stop is). It is close to Glenrose Shops (under current redevelopment) where Woolworths currently is and Aldi, 30 speciality shops and an outdoor dining area, will be located (first stage supposed to be completed April 2016 & 2nd stage December 2016).Glenrose Theatre is close by along with many primary schools including Kambora (2 min drive), Mimosa (3 min drive), St Martins (2 min drive) and Wakehurst Public (6-7 min drive) not far. Davidson High School is about a 5 min drive away and takes about 20 mins to walk to. Lionel Watts Oval is close by and there is McFarlane Oval just up the road.
